Restaurant Vila Rova is a slow food restaurant on Krk- Croatia’s largest island. Named ‘Young Talent of the Year” by Gault&Millau Croatia in 2024, chef Marin Pleše prepares authentic, creative and contemporary island cuisine. His dishes are a blend of recipes inspired by island gastronomic heritage, locally sourced ingredients and modern techniques complemented by the warm hospitality of Krk.

Menus are evolving according to the seasons, with some specialties and highlights which became signature, such as warm acorn flour brioche bun and homemade “šurlice” pasta. By combining local aromatic herbs with ingredients such as lamb, langoustines, octopus, olive oil and sheep cheese, kitchen team showcases the scents and aromas of life by the Adriatic sea.

The restaurant is located in Malinska, on the Island Krk, the largest Croatian island, with over 2500 sunshine hours per year. Just a few hours drive from Zagreb, Ljubljana or Venice, with international airport, is conveniently within many guests’ reach. Discover old historical towns of Krk and Vrbnik, beautiful beaches, over 500 km of biking and hiking trails and one of the best marinas on the Adriatic coast.
