Polish tourists are becoming increasingly numerous visitors to Croatia. From 2001 to 2025, tourist traffic from Poland tripled. In order to further direct this important market towards the consumption of premium Croatian tourism services, the Croatian Chamber of Economy presented the Stories Croatia platform to the audience in Warsaw during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Croatian National Tourist Board Representation in Poland.
„The Polish market, with more than 7 million overnight stays annually, shows exceptional potential, and through the Stories – Experience Premium Croatia platform, we aim to take an additional step forward by attracting guests seeking top-quality experiences and higher spending. This is the direction in which the Croatian tourism offer must grow”, said Andreja Vukojević, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, who also awarded special prizes to the lucky participants.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the work and activities of the Croatian National Tourist Board Representation in Poland, the Croatian National Tourist Board, in cooperation with the Zadar County Tourist Board, organized a celebration of its long-standing presence on this market at the Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw.
„For many years, Poland has ranked among the five most important markets for Croatian tourism. In 2025, the number of overnight stays by Polish guests in Croatia exceeded 7 million. Such results demonstrate how much Polish tourists appreciate Croatia’s safety, quality, proximity, and hospitality, as well as the tourism offer that attracts them to our destinations during the pre-season and post-season periods”, stated Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Croatian National Tourist Board Representation in Poland was also commented on by its current director, Małgorzata Kowalska.
„This jubilee, which we are celebrating together, confirms that tourism promotion is a long-term process based on trust, consistency, and cooperation between partners from both countries. It is precisely this approach that greatly contributes to the strong connection Polish tourists have with Croatia, a country they continuously wish to discover throughout the entire year”, said Kowalska.
During the anniversary celebration, the Zadar County Tourist Board was also presented.
„It is a great honor for us to be a partner in marking this important anniversary. The Republic of Poland is an important market for tourism in Zadar County. The fact that our dear guests from Poland love our beautiful county is also reflected in the seasonal flights arriving at Zadar Airport from Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Poznań, Rzeszów, and Wrocław, as well as, of course, Warsaw”, concluded Vanja Čvrljak, Director of the Zadar County Tourist Board.
Last year, Polish tourists recorded 1.2 million arrivals and 7.3 million overnight stays in Croatia, representing an increase of +6.5% in arrivals and +3.3% in overnight stays compared to 2024. By region, they recorded the highest number of overnight stays in Split-Dalmatia County, Istria, and Zadar County, while the most visited destinations were Omiš, Zadar, Makarska, Nin, and Baška Voda.
