A drop of delight
The Radovan family has lived in this area since the Venetian times and are said to be Morlachs, although it was a long time ago.
The Radovan Winery began operations in 1994 on a 1.5-hectare vineyard, when they started by restoring old family vineyards and gradually planting new Malvasia vines. Today, their production spans 16 hectares of vineyards, all managed with strict vineyard practices and yield control to ensure the highest quality of grapes.
From six grape varieties, they currently craft a portfolio of nine wine labels including their signature Malvazija Istarska and Refošk, alongside premium Capeletto Malvazija and Cuvée, aged in French oak.
Their winery is located in the small village of Radovani, a quiet rural setting with only around 20 inhabitants. Surrounded by vineyards, forests, and agricultural land, the estate lies just a short distance from the Istrian coast, yet offers a distinctly inland atmosphere of the Višnjan area.
This unique position allows guests to experience a preserved local environment, where simple life, natural landscapes, and viticulture coexist.
Their proximity to renowned gastronomic destinations such as Rovinj, Poreč, and Motovun further connects them to the broader Istrian wine and culinary scene.

Today’s winery design took shape between 2022 and 2024. The landscape design was created by the studio Op-Op, while the architectural concept was developed by Silvije Novak of 3LHD. The production layout was logistically designed by Franko, and the guest experience areas were curated by Anna Radovan.
Their shared vision was to seamlessly connect the original family house with the new winery facilities. Soft lines, natural materials, and muted tones allow the focus to remain on the wines while ensuring a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Their garden terrace, designed with organic flow and surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, offers privacy and tranquility while enjoying the wine with countryside views, sea views, and spectacular sunsets.

All their tastings and cellar tours are conducted individually, ensuring a high level of attention regardless of group size. Guests are welcomed through structured tours that reveal the winemaking process from grape to bottling, followed by curated tastings.
In addition to their wines, they also grow and prepare a selection of ingredients featured on their menu, including their own olive oil, salt-cured black olives, and seasonal asparagus.
Their culinary approach emphasizes local ingredients sourced from nearby producers, reflecting a strong connection to the local community.
