Scroll down for more The Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) presented its platform for premium tourism products and services „Stories – Experience Premium Croatia“ during a networking event in Split for its current and potential members from Split-Dalmatia County. The President of the Split County Chamber, Joze Tomaš, emphasized on this occasion that the development of premium tourism is the key to maintaining Croatia’s competitiveness, especially against the backdrop of rising prices for tourist services in the domestic market, which has increased by almost 50%, compared to growth rates of 15– 20% in competing Mediterranean countries. Mr. Tomaš highlighted the need to improve the quality of services and products, focusing on the premium component, which is the national strategic aim for future tourism development.
Split-Dalmatia County as a Premium Destination
Split-Dalmatia County, with its 121 four-star hotels and 14 five-star hotels, is seen as the key area for the development of premium tourism in Croatia. The county is considered worthy of carrying the premium destination label, while the Stories platform facilitates networking between key tourism stakeholders to promote both the county and Croatia as a premium destination.
Growth and Market Focus of the "Stories" Platform
The platform “Stories” was launched in April 2024. and already has 125 members from various tourism segments, including hotels, campsites, marinas, holiday homes, restaurants, agencies, and charter companies. Director of the tourism sector of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Andreja Vukojević, noted that the platform targets markets that have higher purchasing power, such as the United States, UK, and Scandinavia. The CCE supports and organizes joint promotion of members at international trade fairs in Cannes, the Bahamas, and Sao Paulo, as well as the organization of study visits and other promotional activities.
Membership and Future Vision
All premium service providers that meet the required criteria can join the platform “Stories – Experience Premium Croatia”. Membership is free of charge for companies that are members of the Croatian Chamber of Economy. This initiative aims to promote Croatia as a destination that offers high-quality premium services and unique experiences.
